Organizer Guidelines

Organizers are members that create their own TVG-endorsed events and manage and run them independently of anyone else. It is a special role for people that have really given back to the community and earned the trust of their players.

Organizer Perks and Responsibilities

Organizers can post events to the website and Discord, access certain administrative functions, and are included in planning discussions. They also usually end up spending a lot of money printing things and buying snacks for gamers.

Organizers are expected to help keep the community friendly and welcoming, apply our community standards to our events, and help keep events running smoothly. They may act as GMs, but they may also be support staff, running logistics and planning for events.

Becoming an Organizer

There is no special path forward to becoming an organizer. You become an organizer after you've participated in enough events to show good people skills, a passion for what you do, and an appreciation of the community. Passionate volunteers will generally become organizers, but this decision is made entirely by the admins for GMs or Community members that request the role and are a good fit for it. If you have questions, you can contact the admins.

We recommend anyone who wants to be an organizer joins Discord so they can be part of planning discussions.

Requesting an Event Posting

If you are not yet an org but want to run an event, reach out to an organizer to help. They will talk to the other orgs. If approved, we will help you put the event together and provide support as needed.
